한국과 일본에서 제작된 음반들

This web-page was first initiated in 2018. It’s basically just records in my own collection.

I live (and have done for a long time now) in South Korea. When I was younger I spent a lot of time in South East Asia travelling around and picking up records. Since I’ve been in North East Asia I’ve been picking up records from this region.

When Kim Jong Un and Trump were escalating things in late 2017 I sent these records from my apartment in Korea to my dad’s apartment in Australia (for safe keeping).

This web-site contains a selection of some of the more interesting items that are there.

It’s really just a reference point for people who have a similar taste in music to me and are interested in North East Asian pressings. I’ve included some other non-Asian pressings (that I’ve picked up recently) because they’re stored together with the Japan/Korea discs and they’re interesting in some way.

It is recommended that the audio/Youtube track samples on this site are listened to through quality speakers/headphones in order to hear the music at its (near) best. However, the actual vinyl records (especially if they’re deep groove pressings) usually provide the best sound quality for this music … often with a bit more depth than digital formats.
